The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has set up two mega centers with a cost of Rs. 370 million in different thickly populated zones of Karachi.

These NADRA centers are being set up with plan to give quick administrations to the masses with the ability to handle 3,000 applications by each inside on regular routine.
In this association, Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali introduced the unique mega center in North Nazimabad and DHA. One more center is being set up in SITE Area that will be operational by May 2017.

It must be said here that after the introduction of these two mega centers, NADRA will close down its other usual centers in district South and Central.

While talking with media, the interior minister said upwards of 324,000 CNICs have been obstructed by the service for re-confirmation of validness. Among them, 174,000 CNICs will be reestablished after re-confirmation and re-enrollment of people while 150,000 CNICs are blocked for all time.
